Born just outside Slough, son of a working-class hard working self employed motor mechanic and of comprehensive schooling, much of my youth was spent ‘scrattin’ around the local gravel pits and schoolboy motocross clubs on old homemade motorbikes. I admit that school and I didn’t really get on well back then - too busy playing the clown - so I’ve had to do it the hard way and grab my education throughout my ‘adulthood’ whilst at work; I say ‘adulthood’ in loose terms because I matured quite late really, I think around about the age of 29. Married now to June my loving wife & soul mate and settled in Yorkshire (nowhere better) with our twin boys, two older daughters (university and whatnot); and of course our pet dog and best friend Murphy the Beagle.
